About Me

Francisco is a recent graduate from Stanford University, where he obtained his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minor in German Studies. His intellectual and career interests lie in the medical device industry: specifically, human locomotion research and its application in the robotic prostheses field. His prior experience includes designing hardware in order to develop new methods for early detection of osteoarthritis at Stanford's Soft Tissue Biomechanics Lab as well as interning in Germany at Darmstadt’s Locomotion Laboratory to research the human gait.

Francisco is also committed to serving his communities. He is a part of Human Engineers Inc., an NGO dedicated to providing prosthetics care and education to amputees in the Philippines. Francisco is also an active member of the Stanford Society of Latino Engineers, an organization that works to empower and support minorities in STEM.

As a human, Francisco can be described in two words: lovable and dedicated. He has a hearty laugh, a kind soul, and an insatiable drive to learn and create. He has a passion for music and has had several opportunities to explore different musical realms, from playing with the Marching Band in high school to performing with the Mariachi Band in college. He loves his family, appreciates his friends, and enjoys traveling, photography, swimming, biking, watching soccer, playing Super Smash, and drinking water.
